Cedar – Wood Siding

While there are many pros and cons to wood siding the is no denying it just looks good on a house. That definitely holds true for Ocean City and surrounding shore towns.

More people are turning back the clock and using wood siding to finish the exterior of their home. Maybe it is because wood is more environmentally friendly, adds more value to the home, can be painted or stained in limitless colors or perhaps they just like the look of natural wood.

There really is no more of a classic coastal look than weathered wood on a home, especially cedar shake. That’s one of the advantages to using wood siding. Leave it be and let nature shape the color, or paint it as many times as you would like. It’s all up to you.

The customer worked with an architect and Shore Siding Inc. to turn this late 80s house into what they deemed, a “coastal farmhouse”.

All the roofing and siding was removed along with the old windows. New Andersen 400 Series windows and doors were installed. A deck and new roofline were built off the master bedroom.
